There are 21 counties in the state. Locals deem there to be a north Jersey and a south Jersey. North Jersey receives New York City's television stations, while South Jersey gets Philadelphia. Central Jersey is becoming more and more of a "thing" every year.

There are a number of major highways that run thru the state. The two biggest north-south roads are the NJ Turnpike which runs from NYC to Philadelphia, while the Garden State Parkway runs along the eastern side of the state from NYC to the Jersey shore (beaches) Both are toll roads.

Northern New Jersey has a pretty good train network. The south does not. Newark Penn Station and Rutherford Station are where you night change trains in order to commute into NYC.

Radon is high in certain parts of the state. Areas in red tend to be the bigger problem areas.
